The weather forecast for this whole week is gloom and doom. which gives me time to do some site surfing. revisiting some of my fav design sites have sparkled a bit of my appetite to create again. when i enrolled into the advertising course 8 years ago, i trotted down the path of a designer straight away. studied art, chatted about the fusion of philosophy and design, doodled, tried to grow a goatee. ah, sweet days. saying that i know now that after 8 years, i'm not that good a designer, but i'm not complaining, cause that journey has brought me to photography. It is the happy place where i go to daily. how could i live without it.
which brings me to the next question. could i give up photography for a month? including not visiting photoblogs, talk photography, flickr, etc. should i take that plunge? maybe doing so would allow me to come back to it with fresh eyes.

I think this is an absolutely wonderful shot! I love the colors and I like how the guy breaks up the image...Very well done!

Excellent colours contrasts and composition. This attracted me so much on seeing it as a thumbnail that I just had to see it full size.

love it- I want so badly for the guy to be gone- to see these tiles completely showcased, but then again, that's where the tension comes from in the shot. Great catch.

nah - just keep shooting! I was thinking the opposite of tjmccloud. To me, these tiles make a great backdrop for something interesting in the foreground. I often see really nice background sets and wish I had a worthy subject to create an interesting image. You've got it here.
